Range of new products coming to market

<p>COMPACT WHEEL LOADER UPGRADE: Caterpillar is building on its success with the M Series Compact Wheel Loader range. There are three new models in the line, each with added design enhancements. The new models include the 910, 914 (shown) and the 920. The 920 replaces the 918M. All get a new Cat C3.6-liter engine offering more horsepower — 111 hp for the 910 and 914, and 117 hp for the 920. A new reversing-fan option is available for working in high-dust and -debris areas; it has both manual and automatic operating modes. Rotary Sensor Kickouts are now an option for the 910 and 914; when deployed, they can add life to the cutting edge of the bucket. The 914 can be outfitted with the Caterpillar Fusion Coupler System to provide enhanced durability. And there are new auxiliary lines. <p>NEW FUEL HAULER: American Eagle is expanding its FuelMate fuel trailer line with the Multi-Tank Fuel Trailer. The design allows contractors to haul diesel fuel without the need for a commercial driver’s license (CDL) hazmat certification. The trailer has seven 110-gallon, internally baffled fuel tanks with sight-gauge vented cap and tank breather. It also features one 110-gallon stainless steel diesel exhaust fluid tank, work lighting and a drawer system. <p>ENHANCING SOFTWARE FUNCTIONS: Kuhn has launched new software for the CCI 1200 ISOBUS touchscreen display. The display is compatible with Ag Electronics Foundation-certified ISOBUS tractors and implements. The new software — Kuhn CCI.OS 2.0 — includes new functions; for example, CCI.Cam allows you to automatically show a rearview camera on the monitor whenever the machine is moving backward. The Field Finder allows operators to use a list of all available tasks to match them to field maps, based on proximity to the field boundary. Target values for fertilizer and seeding can be edited directly on the terminal. The CCI.Command function can display a map based on machine values rather than area covered. For example, yield, as-applied or as-planted zones can be displayed instead of simple, single-color coverage maps. The unit has a 12-inch display. <p>HIGH-LOAD VF TIRE: Alliance Tire Americas is rolling out a massive, round-shouldered Alliance Agriflex+ 277 flotation radial tire. The unit brings very high-flexion sidewall technology to floaters, spreaders and grain carts to improve performance and reduce soil compaction. The tires feature a steel radial belt design with a reinforced carcass and a new stubble-guard compound. The tire has deep, curved lugs for dependable traction in the field on both flat and hilly terrain. The lugs overlap in the center for a smoother ride and reduced wear on pavement. The tires are also designed to eject mud and residue to the side. There are three sizes — VF 750/50R26, VF 1050/50R32 and VF 1000/50R25 — and more sizes are in development. <p>WATER CONTROLLER: Irrigation control systems keep advancing and working to meet a range of changing application needs. The new Sennode-BT is powered by a smartphone app that allows growers to program and operate their systems. The app maps controllers by location and sends battery-change reminders. Controllers can also be configured offline, making field adjustments easier. Total app control removes the need to open valve boxes and program irrigation schedules on a dark screen. The system allows run times lasting just seconds for misting in greenhouse applications, but it has applicability in open-field use as well. <p>HEAVY HAULER: Talbert Manufacturing has launched the 35FG-BVTL fixed-neck, drop-deck trailer for small to midsize equipment machinery movers. The 35-ton trailer is rated at 70,000 pounds concentrated in 20 feet, and it features hydraulic ramps for safe, efficient loading and unloading in confined spaces. The new unit is part of the company’s Double Drop Series. The overall length of the 35FG-BVTL is 48 feet, including a 22-foot-long deck that is 8 feet, 6 inches wide, and an 8-foot, 6-inch rear bridge section. <p>Here are the details for Goodyear Farm Tires: 10-year coverage for tire workmanship and material with prorated refund based on years in service and percentage wear; two-year, no-cost replacement as part of workmanship and materials coverage when the tire is 25% worn, mounting and service included; all radials are now covered under the new policy, with R-14, HF-3, I-1 and I-3 added; a new two-year field hazard protection plan offers prorated refund for select cases; a three-year stubble damage protection plan now covers all Goodyear Farm Tire radials; and there is a four-year scraper service warranty for the Goodyear Optitorque R-1 line.</p>
