That escaped convict in Tennessee who killed administrator and rode off on farm tractor is back behind bars.

There’s a major government crop report out today to get updated acreage number from one released in June. The report released in June was criticized as being way too high. Farm Bureau estimated the June report triggered a $2.6 billion drop in new crop corn price.

Purdue University power back on. Most of campus went dark yesterday when squirrel caused outage.

Sturgis attendance may be up this year. Two traffic fatalities, down from four last year. The beard and mustache contest was well attended. Man with 17-inch braided mustache was the winner.
