<p>Can-Am is launching the 2020 Can-Am Defender 6x6 HD10 as a flagship model along with more from its Defender and Maverick lineup. The 6x6 model is part of a lineup that’s been totally redesigned for 2020, with the 82 hp Rotax engine offering 69 pound-feet of torque. The 6x6 model offers six-wheel traction, with a go-anywhere design and an innovative, versatile adjustable box. The Defender line gets a new front-fascia look, a digital instrument display and a thicker firewall design for quieter running. <p>The new Bobcat UV34 and UV34XL diesel utility vehicles feature an all-new chassis, an enhanced suspension system and increased towing capacity. The tow rating for the standard and the XL vehicle rises to 2,500 pounds. The UV34 will seat an operator and two passengers; the UV34XL has room for an operator and five passengers. <p>GSI has announced its new 30-foot-diameter Z-Series Bin with Flexwave Technology is now available through its dealer network. The bins can help improve grain handling efficiency and safety for the 2019 harvest season. The new model allows up to 21 rings of 4-inch corrugation with up to 47,000 bushels of storage capacity. The bins feature the Flexwave cleanout system, using large liners that inflate and deflate to remove residual grain after the bin is emptied — eliminating the need to climb in side for that final sweep. <p>Two new bale processors from H&amp;S — the BP2957 and BP2958 — are designed to provide higher-quality feed and softer bedding. Unlike systems that must unroll the bale before shredding, these machines use a hydraulic cradle that rocks bales of any size or shape over hammers. The entire cross section of the bale is shredded at once. The machines are available in right- or left-discharge models. The machines can handle up to 20 small square bales at one time, and they feature fully adjustable loading forks to handle all bale sizes. <p>Michelin is launching the CargoXBib High Flotation tire, a low-pressure transport tire for use with trailers, spreaders and slurry tanks with a high load capacity. The tires are now available in 28LR26 and 800/60R32 sizes and are compatible with central tire inflation systems. The tire has a new tread design featuring 52 blocks with a wide footprint and a shallow tread, to help reduce the amount of power required to pull trailers. The central rib helps protect against soil compaction, reduces plant damage and provides comfort for roading. The tire can be used at speeds up to 40 mph, which helps improve tread cleanout. <p>Kinze is launching the 4700 planter, a newly designed 20-inch model that will include the Blue Vantage display, Blue Drive electric drive and True Depth active hydraulic down force. The three-section frame has 15 degrees of toolbar flex up and down for improved ground contact. The 120-bushel bulk seed-fill capacity comes with hydraulic weight transfer as a standard feature. <p>Kubota has announced its new M4 Series utility tractors. There are three models — the MRD-61 with 51 PTO hp; and the M4-071 and M4D-071 with 60 PTO hp, including one standard and two deluxe models. The M4 Series was designed to meet the needs of small cattle and hobby farmers. It’s designed to carry round bales, pull a small baler, do loader work, rake hay and handle other chores around the farm. All three models have enhanced features for operator comfort. All models feature a 12F/12R transmission with two ranges and six speeds per range, and there’s an option to add a creep range. <p>Danuser has launched an enhanced model of its Mega Mixer material handling bucket designed to mix, scoop and dispense a range of materials — from livestock feed to bag-mix concrete. New features include an easy-to-operate discharge end; and a steel auger with an 8-inch diameter and 8-inch pitch for faster mixing and dispensing. The bucket has a 22.8-cubic-inch motor for better torque, so it can dispense three-quarters of a yard of material in 26 seconds. The system mounts on both sides, allowing the operator to dispense on either the right or left side of the host vehicle. <p>Montag Manufacturing is launching Model 2208, designed for spreading both cover crops and fertilizer solutions on existing equipment. The unit features dual product capability, with one to four sections. That multisystem capability allows farmers to use one system for both cover crop application and fertilizer application, to add rows and configure drives in a metering platform that can adapt for the future. <p>The new 1220-20 Roto-Mix Commercial Series Rotary Feed Mixer can handle 1,220 cubic feet of material. The horizontal feed mixer comes equipped with a patented GeneRation II Staggered Rotor, designed for feeding heavy rations that require wet distillers grains. <p>Syngenta is launching a new seed treatment on the market. The fungicide Vayantis, which contains picarbutrazox — a new active ingredient and novel chemical class — offers innovation to control pythium and phytophthora disease. The new active ingredient was developed by Nippon Soda. By tackling pythium more aggressively, farmers can adopt reduced or no-till dropping systems and avoid having to replant. The novel mode of action will provide more choices for early seedling disease control. Vayantis will be used in combination with Apron to complement genetic tolerance, or even resistance, in specific crops.
